Using desaturated tones and claustrophobic framing, each photograph captures the moment when reason succumbs to obsession. The viewer is drawn into a sombre world. A recurring motif of bird silhouettes serves as a visual metaphor for the fragmented mind.
II. Inherent spirit
The core concept of this series is the interplay between real and surreal, with a focus on the ethereal and symbolic connection between place and its inherent spirit.
The ghostly appearance of the photos implies themes of memory, and the intangible essence of time and place. I use the bird as a symbol of freedom and adaptability and the “soul" of the area, bridging the earthly and celestial realms.
